March 12: Part 2

I wanted to use this post to stop and write about the conclave that is happening. I got a text message from one of the teens today when the first round of black smoke came out of the Sistine Chapel. Apparently, she was watching TV and the show was interrupted by going live to the sistine chapel chimney. She said she thought of me. I think that it's interesting to see how the conclave is captivating the world. Catholics and non Catholics alike are fascinated by a process that seems to be so old and ancient. There's very few things in the world that don't change. At the top of that list is our Church, a beautiful example of something being ever ancient and ever new. The world is captivated by the election process by picking a new pope and above all by what this means to our Church.

The world is watching us, pray for them.
